I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). My main research interests include the formation, evolution, and dynamics of galaxies and galaxy systems, primarily using cosmological simulations. My research focuses on the distribution and dynamics of satellite dwarf galaxies in the Local Group, the assembly of galaxy clusters, and the evolution of dwarf galaxies in the Local Universe.
Education
I completed my bachelor's (2006-2012) and master's (2012-2015) studies in Colombia, later I did my PhD at the National University of Córdoba (UNC) in Argentina (2018-2023), with Dr. Mario Abadi and Dr Laura Sales as my advisors.
My thesis focuses on the assembly of galaxy clusters and the formation of ultra-diffuse galaxies.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy a variety of activities that keep me both active and creative. I enjoy playing soccer, which helps me stay physically active and socially connected. Music is another passion of mine, and I play the guitar as a way to relax and express myself. Reading is also an important part of my life, allowing me to expand my knowledge and explore new ideas. I enjoy outdoor activities and traveling to new places, where I can experience different cultures and perspectives. I also enjoy video games as a fun way to unwind and engage with interactive storytelling.
