Faced with the current situation caused by the expansion of Covid19 throughout the world, different alternatives are being sought in order to prevent it from affecting a greater number of people, which could leads to serious problems at socio-economic and health levels for society as a whole. This need to find different solutions has inspired the development of having greater control over the movements and behavior of society during such an adverse situation as the present one may be. All this information to be monitored also will be very valuable to politicians and state forces because they can take different decisions, recommendations or actions from them, especially with information related to the users’ location.
Nowadays there are a variety of tools that address the spread of this virus, but are focused on displaying high-level information without focusing on some kind of aspects that can offer great value information such as the movement of people, as they simply indicate the number of positives cases or establish a connection between devices along with a history in order to do a better track of these positives.
In order to monitor society on a large scale, it will be necessary to develop a system that supports a large amount of information and that can process it in real time, detecting different complex events that will provide more valuable information, as long as the privacy of the user’s data is respected.
To this end, it has been developed (i) a mobile application that will be available to the entire population whose main objective is to provide information associated with the movement of nearby devices and places permitted by the relevant authorities; (ii) a web application for politicians and state forces with the main objective of providing statistics on the movement of people, in addition to the possibility of prohibiting/allowing certain types of places; and (iii) a complex event processor whose main objective is to detect different patterns that can occur in the information exchanged in the system. These patterns can offer hidden information at first sight that can be very useful for making certain decisions.
