Open positions

I will be opening positions to work at the intersection of statistical physics, neural networks, and biological sequences. I have internship positions available each year. See an example internship proposal at this link, as illustration of the topics I'm interested in. I can also sponsor fellowship applications (such as MSCA, HFSP, EMBO, ...), contact if interested.

Postdoctoral position

A postdoc position is available at IPhT to work with me in an interdisciplinary project at the interface of machine learning, statistical physics, and computational biology. The project combines theoretical and computational approaches to study biological sequences, develop representation-learning and generative models for sequence analysis and design, and investigate the statistical physics of neural networks, with particular interest in the structure of learned representations imprinted by the phylogenetic origins of natural sequences. The position is aimed at candidates with a strong quantitative background and broad interests in statistical physics, machine learning, and biological data.

PhD offer

We have a PhD position available, to work on representations of biological sequences in state-space models. Background/interest in statistical physics and computational biology are advised. More details here. Get in touch!
