I am currently assistant professor at the Department of Biology of Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia. 

I am evolutionary biologist with a special interest in systematics, speciation and behavior of Neotropical birds. My research program combines field, museum and molecular methods to understand the role of plumage and song divergence in the origin and maintanance of species.
