Teaching

Philosophy:

  • As an educator, I believe I have an obligation to foster an inclusive learning environment in which students with varying backgrounds can engage in active and cooperative learning experiences. This approach to instruction enables new knowledge for all members of the classroom community that is inherently grounded in the consideration of diverse perspectives. Furthermore, I believe that the pedagogical goal should not only be to provide students with new information, but to help them cultivate the skills required for critical thinking and group problem-solving. I aim to promote student flourishing by communicating regularly with students, prioritizing transparency regarding the learning process, and holding students to high, though achievable, expectations.
