My name is Jordan Marciniak, and I am a senior at Eastmark High School.
I have a history in a choral background, taking choir for the last five years. I have been an alto 3 all five years and have loved every moment of it. I will forever love and carry the feeling of singing so proudly as a group with me; when I think of my best highschool days, choir is at the top of them.
Outside of choir I do have an interest in other fine arts, taking Ceramics 1 sophomore year and Ceramics 2 junior year, as well as I have been making various mediums of art, my favorite being painting, since I was a small child.
While I have no formal training in piano, vocal lessons, or production. I’ve always known that since I was little that I wanted to create a song. I was six years old. My father took me to his friend's production studio to record a few songs from my mom for Mother's Day. This was my first experience in a studio, and I knew that I wanted to do music ever since. I have absolutely adored singing since I was a small child. I have participated in numerous talent shows, theatre productions and ensembles throughout my schooling experience.
A lot of inspiration for this piece of music came from my love of the metal band Ghost. Central themes throughout their music is a take on the Catholic Church. Combination of ancient sounds, Latin phrasing, and captivating words. What came from Ghost that I wish to implement into my music was having the arrangement of background singers singing along with the melody, on open vowels, in Latin- always being incorporated into the song, serving as a sound filler..
With this in mind, I took the inspiration head first into the production process, putting my own spin on the world of music I love so much.
