Teaching Philosophy
I take my role as an economics educator seriously. Economics is more than just a discipline, it is a unique way to view the structure of society; it offers an invaluable set of tools that can be used to explain phenomena all around us. I weave this idea throughout the courses I teach, demonstrating to students that economics is everywhere. My teaching philosophy has two main tenants, getting students excited about economics and ensuring they leave my class knowing how to apply the economic way of thinking to everyday problems. I take great pride in the success of my students and in empowering them to see the world through an economic lens.
