What can I expect during an Aura session?

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a private, relaxed space. We’ll begin by capturing an initial aura photo shortly after you arrive. This first image serves as a baseline reading of your energy in the moment.

From there, we’ll spend time exploring your aura together using Aura Visual software from Inneractive. You’ll see your colors on screen and learn what they represent, how they interact, and what they may be reflecting about your current energetic state.

Once you feel grounded and centered, we’ll capture a second photo and generate your report. You’ll be able to see yourself on screen, and we’ll agree together when you’re ready to press capture.

You’ll leave with:

• A printed aura photo in a cardboard frame

• Color Meaning Postcard

• A printed report (for applicable sessions)

• Both aura photos and your full report will also be emailed to you so you have digital copies to keep.

How does booking work?

Sessions at Aura Borealis are by appointment only.

We’re located in the workspace above Empire Market in Joplin. Because the building remains locked during session hours, guests are not able to walk in without a booking.

To book, simply complete your purchase online and select your preferred date and time. After booking, you’ll receive a SMS reminder prior to your session. That message will include a number to text when you arrive. We’ll respond as soon as we’re at the door and ready to let you in.

Appointments are scheduled with very minimal buffer time between sessions, so arriving on time is important if you’d like to enjoy your full experience. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to stay on schedule for the next guest.

Market Days at Empire Market (Saturdays, 10am–2pm)

On Saturdays during Market hours, we offer 15-minute photo-only sessions for guests who want a quick, uplifting experience while exploring the Market. It’s an easy way to capture your aura and enjoy a Personal Glow Session between shopping, coffee, and local finds.

Spots are limited during Market hours, so booking ahead is encouraged. Plan your visit, soak in the energy of the Market, and let Aura Borealis be a glowing part of your day.

How does an Aura Session work?

Aura photography uses biofeedback technology to read subtle changes in your electromagnetic field and translate them into color. While the aura camera itself is not a healing tool, it offers meaningful insight into your energetic wellness and current state of being.

By capturing an image before and after grounding and reflection, your session allows you to better understand how awareness, intention, and breath can influence your energy in real time.

What session options do you offer?

We offer several session types depending on how much time and depth you’re looking for:

Personal Glow Session (15 minutes)

A quick aura photo session with one image captured. This option does not include a report or in-depth discussion and is perfect for those looking for a brief experience.

Signature Aura Session (30 minutes)

Designed for one person. This session includes two aura photos, time to review your colors on screen, a printed photo, a printed report, and digital copies emailed to you.

Double Vision Aura Session (45 minutes)

Designed for 2 people. Each guest receives their own aura experience within the shared session time.

Group Aura Session (60 minutes)

Ideal for groups of 3 to 4 people. Each guest receives their own aura experience within the shared session time.

After Dark Sessions

Groups larger than four are booked as Aura Borealis After Dark private events.

What if I don't like my photo - can I retake it?

We intentionally capture a limited number of images so that each photo reflects your genuine energy in that moment. Rather than retakes, we focus on helping you feel calm, comfortable, and fully present before each capture.

Because you can see yourself on screen, we’ll always make sure you feel ready before we take your photo.
