Biography

Joohyun Lee, PhD (Texas A&M University, College Station, US), serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at PKNU. With ten years of professional practice, Dr. Lee bridges the gap between research and industry, focusing on sustainability and Evidence-Based Design (EBD). Scholarly contributions appear in peer-reviewed journals including Building and Environment, Journal of Building Engineering, and Journal of Green Building.

Current research evaluates the energy performance of public rental housing, the efficacy of green remodeling, and white roof installation programs. Additionally, Dr. Lee investigates the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural philosophy and contemporary sustainable principles. As an advisory member for Busan Metropolitan City’s design review committees, Dr. Lee actively integrates academic theory with civic urban planning to advance sustainable architecture in both scholarly and public sectors.
