Biography
Joohyun Lee is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Pukyong National University in South Korea. Dr. Lee earned a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and holds an M.Arch. and LEED AP BD+C credentials. Dr. Lee’s research centers on sustainable architecture, evidence-based design, building energy performance, green remodeling and retrofit strategies, and indoor environmental quality. Dr. Lee teaches sustainable architecture, architectural design studio, environmental systems, and architectural research methods.
Teaching Interest
Dr. Lee’s teaching interests span sustainable architecture and the built environment, undergraduate architectural design studios, environmental performance and building systems, evidence-based design (EBD), energy-efficient and high-performance buildings, green remodeling and retrofit strategies, and research-based design methods.

Courses taught by Dr. Lee include Architectural Design Studio, Sustainable Architecture, Architectural Environments and Systems, and Undergraduate Seminar at the undergraduate level, as well as Sustainable Architecture I and II, Sustainable Architecture Theory and Application, Architectural Research Methods, and Graduate Seminar at the graduate level.
