Jonjo was born in Romford, London on the 27th of Febuary 1992 and grew up in a council flat and due to the crimes in Romford he bought his sister a house in Brentwood when she became pregnant. According to Shelvey his older brother, George was a better footballer but his career was ruined to foolish actions.
Another point to note in Shelveys childhood is life is the actual story of hia baldness and how it came about. The truth is, Shelceys baldness didn't come naturally. It came as a result of an accident after a few months after his birth. Shelvey was left unattended to as a kid which led to him crawling towards the staircase and falling down. This resulted in a childhood trauma and a skull fracture which caused the alopecia and hair loss.
