ABOUT.
Hi my name is Joni Paddock and I am a 15 year old softball player living in Lake Country, BC. I go to George Elliot Secondary School and I also attend the Canadian Sports School. I've lived in the Okanagan my whole life and I love it here in the summer. I grew up at the beach and on the ski hill and I couldn't have it any other way. When I get older I want to go to school in the USA for Biology. I played lots of sports when I was younger but never fell in love with any of them the way I did with softball. I have played ball for 5 years now and I have the most fun when I am.  I knew that softball was my sport when I got asked to play in provincials with the all-star team my first year playing. I had played rep ball since then and I love it. I've made such good friends to the point where they are like my family. I am a very bubbly person and I love to explore the world and really take in our earth. I appreciate the beauty in our world and I want to help keep it beautiful forever. Some of my personal sport achievement's is that in 2024 my team won provincials. It was the most stressful 2-1 game but the feeling after winning the game was something like I've never experienced before. My team then went on the place 2nd in western Canada. I attended the BC Summer Games and placed 2nd in provincials in 2022. I manage to keep a 3.5 GPA throughout my high schooling career by focusing and paying attention in class. Some short term goals is to make an A team in Vancouver. Here in the Okanagan there is no A team and I want to get out and explore higher level ball. Long term goals for me is to receive a softball scholarship to a college in the USA. I think a quote that describes me is "Believe you can and you're halfway there." Because I try very hard and even if I don't succeed I still know I tried.
