Comic Book Mayhem is an off-shoot of Total Comic Mayhem that I shut down for various reasons. Comic Book Mayhem, especially the fanzines, is a way to talk about my passion for comics while simultaneously sharpening my design and layout skills to build a portfolio. I do not do diddly squat with your email address or information. This site is built and hosted on a Google Sites platform, and I am pretty sure they collect data and use cookies.

The mycomicshop banner is an affiliate link. For those who have railed on me in the past about affiliate links, I believe information about comics should be free, but that doesn't mean someone's work and time doesn't need support. I spend a lot of time researching. I write most of the articles for the fanzines and create a lot of the art and take most of the photos. I think affiliate links are a better way than paid memberships, and prefer to keep this a site free. We all buy comics anyway, and you get comics, free and accurate information (as much as possible) about comics, and I get a small kick back to help keep myself and this site afloat. Also, you can choose to support the site if and when you want or when you can. I leave it up to you. Also, the majority take my information offline and hunt in the wild which I highly recommend but don't benefit from whatsoever. I've never complained about that nor will I ever.

THIS IS NOT A COMIC SPECULATION SITE. I talk about comics, comic artists, and what is or isn't significant about certain comics. I believe it's information that anyone passionate about comics should know or at least learn about. I am not saying you should buy the comics I talk about. I am saying that you may probably want to know about them no matter if you're just a collector, speculator, investing in comics, or all three.

Another thing: I'm not really part of any tribe in the online comic community. I am a member of the Comic Collector's Guild. However, I think most comic tribes have become a circle jerk of personal egos over the actual comics and their creators. I am not an expert nor a guru nor will I ever claim to be one. I do, however, prefer information about comics that's as accurate as possible, and have a huge disdain for misinformation from those who are intentionally less scrupulous and continue to push misinformation just for a lousy buck.

I'm here to talk about comics, have fun, and celebrate this hobby, not just speculation or comic investing, though I can still rock out that information as well. As I coined back in 2012, Happy Hunting out there. Let the adventure continue.
