MORE ABOUT JON:  While Jon used to rock out pretty hard with various bands, these days you're more likely to see him performing free solo shows for local senior centers and nursing homes, or an ocassional county fair.  His favorite place to play is around a campfire for his family or a few friends. Between his three kids and his wife, his family plays the guitar, drums, ukulele, harp, piano, and saxophone.  For his day job, Jon works as a Certified Nurse Assistant and also has a current Peer Support Specialist Certification through the state of Utah, as well as a current CPR certification, Food Handler's permit,  and state background check.

Jon's teaching philosophy is simple: Music is meant to be PLAYed.  Of course like most things worth doing, it takes discipline and time to get good at it (and getting good at something tends to make it even more fun).  But bottom line, it's should be play, not work.

Lessons can be solely for guitar or can include instruction in songwriting, singing-while-playing, recording, mixing, and mastering (using high-quality free software!).  Mobile lessons (in your home) are available in Weber, Morgan, and Davis counties in Utah.  Lessons outside this area may be negotiated but are not guaranteed.
