Beliefs:
Jonathan Schleyer believes that sound baths have the power to awaken a sense of wonder - a state of presence and deep calm that helps people reset their nervous systems, reconnecting them with vitality and creativity.
---
When life gets too loud, sound baths create the quiet where wonder can return.
---
Most of us live in our heads.
Sound works differently—it bypasses thinking and speaks directly to the nervous system. When we soften, a sense of wonder naturally arises. That feeling matters because it reconnects people to themselves, to others, and to something larger than the daily grind.
Wonder isn’t escape. It’s return.

Longer bio:
A Franco-American, Jonathan was born in France. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and a Masters in War Studies from King’s College London. He chose those degrees to try to understand what drives the world from a money and power perspective. After military service in France, he started his career in business intelligence in Paris, France.
He moved to Los Angeles in 1998 where he soon after started a career as a global strategist in the advertising industry – building brands for global corporations around the world. He still does this today, over 25 years later.
From a spiritual point of view, he discovered meditation, the Reiki-like healing modality called Sat Nam Rasayan and yoga. Certified in Kundalini Yoga in 2000, he particularly loved it for its ability to open up the higher chakras and its use of gongs to help in relaxation, meditation, and to take us on journeys.
He was also trained in Tarot and oracle cards which which are uncannily accurate.
He started seriously meditating daily in the mid-2000s with the discovery of Zen meditation because he realized that, when our consciousness shifts our whole experience of life shifts to be brighter and more magical. He is committed to a daily practice because meditation is like flossing for the mind. It clears out the gunk so we can be more present.
He then branched his yoga practice out to more grounded styles like vinyasa flow and Bikram hot yoga that challenge both the body and the mind.
He's also a pilgrim who discovered that the special energy of specific locations has the power to transform our lives by shifting our perception and awakening wonder. So, he’s been blessed to travel to meditate in those power spots to experience them, gain insight, receive healings and share that energy. The most significant places he’s experienced have been from West to East: Mount Shasta in California, Sedona in Arizona, the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Guadalupe in Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Times Square in New York City, John of God in Brazil, sand dunes in Moroccan Sahara, Glastonbury Abbey in England, Avebury Stone Circle in England, the wilds of the highlands of Scotland and Orkney, Norway, Paris churches, Mary Magdalene’s St Baume’s cave in France, the Holy Steps in Rome, the tomb of St Francis in Italy, the Acropolis in Greece, vortexes on the Hawaiian Islands that felt like ancient Palestine, a crystal labyrinth and transformative sound bath near Byron Bay Australia, the warm nurturing motherly waters of Bora Bora and so many more. He could share experiences he’s had in all these places for hours. And he’s meditated and organized live meditations on social media from many of these locations, airports around the world and airplanes too. As a result, he’s now keenly aware of the importance of these physical locations and is very excited to facilitate meditation and healing sessions anywhere and especially power spots so people can have their own first hand experiences.
Since 2018, he's been focused on sound healing. Through sound, vibration, and silence, he creates environments where the nervous system can settle and wonder naturally arises And, he picks up instruments wherever he travels around the world so his intentional and eclectic collection is full of deep meaning. For example, he was gifted a gong from Korea, purchased a rain stick in Mexico, Tibetan bowls in the US, France, Scotland and Spain, Tibetan Yak Bells in San Francisco and many more...
From 2022 to 2024, he partnered with Nova Soundbath where together spectacular events were organized across Los Angeles, California and especially Malibu and Manhattan Beach.
Today, Jonathan facilitates public and private sound baths for individuals and corporations wherever he goes, from Manhattan Beach to Hawaii to Europe and beyond helping people reconnect with calm, creativity, and a sense that life is larger, richer, and more meaningful - full of wonder!
