From Berkeley to Waco

I am excited to announce that I have recently accepted a new position, and have transitioned from Berkeley Lab to Baylor University, where I am an assistant professor of physical chemistry.  More website changes will be forthcoming.

About Me: I am a physicist who is deeply intrigued by open science and engineering questions that reside along the blurred boundaries of applied physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, and electrochemistry.  I am especially drawn to questions whose eventual answers may directly or indirectly catalyze long-term positive impacts on human kind.  For these reasons, I leverage interdisciplinary expertise to pioneer new techniques, technologies, and theories to better understand physicochemical properties of a host of materials and systems.  Examples include beyond Li-ion battery materials surfaces, interfaces, and interphases, and materials possessing unique quantum properties.  Oncological materials are also of interest.
