I am a PhD student at Humboldt-University of Berlin, supervised by Prof. Tilman Brück and Prof. Andrea Guariso. I am also a research fellow at the Zero Hunger Lab, a joint initiative between IGZ and HU, and an affiliated researcher at the Thaer Institute and ISDC.
Prior to pursuing a PhD, I worked at the World Food Programme in Nicaragua, Mozambique (Maputo and Cabo Delgado), and Sudan and at the regional bureaus for Latin America (Panama) and Southern Africa (Johannesburg). I was also an RA at the University of Göttingen, DIW, and the Leibniz University of Hannover.
My research interest lies in empirical development economics, particularly food security, conflict, and humanitarian food assistance (HFA). My current research focuses on how the phase-in/out, targeting, and changes in the design of HFA impact people's well-being and community dynamics.
I am the first Latin American selected as a STARS Fellow at Cornell University (2025–2026), a Joachim Herz Fellow (2024–2026), and a PhD Fellow at UNU-WIDER during the spring of 2025.
