Jonathan Matheson is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Florida specializing in epistemology.  His primary research interests concern the epistemic significance of disagreement and the nature and value of epistemic autonomy. He is the author of Why it's OK not to Think for Yourself (Routledge) and The Epistemic Significance of Disagreement (Palgrave). He is also the co-editor of Inquiry: Philosophical Perspectives (Routledge), Epistemic Autonomy (Routledge), and The Ethics of Belief: Individual and Social (Oxford). He also has research interests in ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion.

Dr. Matheson is also the Director and Senior Faculty Fellow at the Florida Blue Center for Ethics at UNF.
