My Story

My name is Jonaid Sharif, and I am currently employed as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Mahdy Research Academy. I recently graduated a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the International Islamic University Chittagong. I would like to recount the progression of my life from my formative years in school to my present occupation and elucidate how these encounters have influenced my personal growth.

Kinder-Garten

My scholastic adventure commenced in kindergarten, where I initially encountered the delight of forming friendships and acquiring fundamental knowledge. During these initial stages, I was consumed by a strong desire to explore and learn, which laid the groundwork for my enduring passion for acquiring knowledge.

High-School

High school was a notable phase characterized by enduring connections and collective experiences. My companions and I dedicated time to exploring different locations and participating in a range of activities. These friendships taught me the significance of camaraderie and support, which have proven to be extremely useful in every aspect of my life.

College

College posed numerous hurdles, although it concurrently served as a period of personal development. While I dedicated myself to my academic pursuits, I managed to accumulate numerous memorable experiences during my time residing in the hostel. These challenges enhanced my resilience and contributed to my development as a more polished and captivating individual.

During my time at the university, I enthusiastically engaged in a wide range of groups, programs, workshops, and events. I acquired essential expertise that significantly enhanced my development as a machine learning engineer. My passion for sharing knowledge prompted me to actively participate on sites such as LinkedIn and GitHub, where I assist newcomers in getting started in this profession.

In 2020, I ventured into the freelance market for Digital Marketing, with a specific emphasis on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I worked on a range of initiatives, including social media marketing, boosting, on-page/off-page optimization, and backlink development. Nevertheless, I quickly committed myself entirely to my college studies, particularly during my second academic term.

University Life

Turning Point in My Life: Managing Responsibility, Skill Development, Leadership, and Decision Making

In my fourth semester, I enrolled in the "Building Bridges Through Leadership Training" program at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre. This experience enhanced my proficiency in observation, public speaking, communication, and presenting. The acquisition of these skills has been vital in my present position and continuous professional growth.

Currently, during the final semester of my undergraduate program, I am actively establishing a robust network within both my local community and corporate sectors. I am actively pursuing internships in the fields of web development, front-end development, Python (specifically Django), and machine learning research. I have also enthusiastically embraced the pursuit of knowledge about diverse cultures and the exploration of numerous locations, which has significantly expanded my worldview regarding the ways in which people lead their everyday lives.

During my leisure time, I derive pleasure from engaging in activities such as visiting my village, immersing myself in the ocean, embarking on hiking expeditions, and socializing with friends. I endeavor to establish a constructive and reassuring atmosphere for everyone in my vicinity, extending assistance wherever feasible.

As a member of the Aspire Leadership Program, I consistently contemplate my progress and how it has equipped me for forthcoming leadership positions. Participating in the Google Project Management: Professional Certificate program has increased my comprehension of project management abilities, roles, and responsibilities across several sectors. I have acquired the skills to effectively navigate the project management life cycle and analyze various methodologies. Additionally, I have gained an awareness of how organizational structure and culture can influence project management. These insights are vital as my objective is to spearhead projects that foster innovation and enhance efficiency.
