So I'm not really a pattern of the month club kind of person. But then the Sepia Pants were released and I HAD TO HAVE THAT PATTERN. The Crew Community has been calling them #magicpants. It's so hard to find a decent pair of pants to fit my curvy body but these pants are going to be AWESOME. In addition, each calendar year will center around a design theme or concept. The 2024 "Stone Collection" is a modern + interchangeable capsule wardrobe featuring a balanced mix of knits, wovens, seperates and special standalone pieces.
If you are signed up for a monthly plan, your membership will renew each month on the day you originally signed up. If you signed up for our annual Unlimited plan, you can opt to renew your plan on the anniversary of your sign-up date.
As an active member, we will send you an email on the first of each month telling you about the new pattern available for download and the content for that month. You will have access to a curated collection of resources to help you construct your pattern and access to our private Crew community forum. Unlimited members have access to the complete back catalog of patterns, exclusive discounts to Closet Core Patterns and Core Fabrics, and access to a Fitting Concierge in a private forum.
If you are currently on a monthly plan or are signing up for a monthly plan and would like a pattern that was released before you signed up, you must upgrade to an annual Unlimited membership. Unlimited members are able to download the complete back catalog of Crew patterns regardless of when they signed up.
Since all products and content with a Crew subscription are available immediately when you sign up, both monthly and annual plans are non-refundable since they are billed in advance. We do not offer partial or full refunds on monthly or annual Crew subscriptions.
I love fabric and spend a lot of time and money imagining projects that have not made it to the sewing machine! Although I am not necessarily making a garment every month, getting new patterns every month, and seeing how they are interpreted by others in this community, has inspired me to get back into action. In the last couple of years, I had made a few garments that took time, care, and fabric, but just didn't fit well enough to wear. The expertise in this group has given me the encouragement to look for solutions before the garments make the trip to Goodwill. It has also got me to make a couple of Closet Core patterns I already had and had not used. I am really enjoying sewing up some stash fabric and trying new things. I really like the perspective of the Closet Core founders and staff. I plan to stay with the Crew as long as it is offered.
Had no idea I would be so enthralled with this community and the surprise monthly patterns we are given to construct. Some are not even patterns I would have considered, but all have given me happy endings. I have been pushed to play with hacking a blouse pattern to create a perfect rendition of the design more suited to my frame, to alter a coat pattern so that I could use it for the chosen fabric, to play with fussy cutting fabric to create a skirt that worked for the fabric and the pattern, and to come to grips with sizing up for the front of a pants pattern, whose back is 2 sizes smaller, and to finally use toiles to confirm my changes are good enough. It's been empowering, invigorating. and inspiring.
The best thing is the community of sewists who embrace the challenges, cheer crew accomplishments, step-up to support and answer questions, while also producing amazing results. I marvel at the variety of makes posted from the same pattern and the crew connections we are developing.

This crew membership gives me a feeling of security and more confidence to go further in my sewind adventure.
First thing I did was download and then open on my laptop. Grab a cup of coffee, bottle of water and my project notebook and begin to read and take notes. I printed out patterns, went shopping through my fabric stash. I have cut out muslins and I am in the process of fittings. So far, so good. I recommend you purchase and have fun.
This is a great pattern! I have made 5 and I love them so much! The instructions are very clear (pay attention to the folds for the front) and detailed. The outcome is a unique mix of stylish and comfortable.
