Hi,
I am John Prakash SUSAINATHAN from Galway, Ireland and am working as a senior researcher at postdoctoral level in Sustainable materials and structures group, University of Galway, Ireland. My research focuses on development of Composite Eco-structure which is fully composed of skin (Flax FRP composite) and core (Plywood) that is based on natural or eco materials. I have significant experimental and numerical research experience (subroutine implementation in Abaqus/LS Dyna) with expertise such as mechanics of composite eco-structure, composite materials and wood-based composites. I have knowledge and considerable experience on lightweight composite structures and have published 17 papers, including 8 in peer-reviewed journals (Q1) with total citations of 279 (H and i10 = 5).
Developing cutting-edge bio-based or natural materials and technologies that enhance the environment's sustainability and decarbonization is my goal. I am passionate about imparting my knowledge to others in addition to my academic endeavors. I proactively look for chances to work with other researchers on projects. I like to play shuttle badminton, and sudoku when I have free time. My motivation and creativity are sustained by these pastimes.
