BodyLog helps you keep one fast timeline for the daily signals that matter: food, fluids, medicines, waste, and sensations.

Quick Start
Tap Add Entry at the bottom center of the screen.
Choose a category and fill in the details.
Tap any timeline row to edit an entry.
Swipe left on a row and confirm to delete it.
Use Category and the keyword filter (filter icon) to narrow the list.
Bottom Bar
• Help: Opens the Help screen.
• Add Entry: Opens the entry type menu.
• Settings: Appearance, log display, medicines, fluids, data export, and demo mode.
The Timeline
• All entry types are merged in reverse chronological order.
• Rows are grouped visually by day for easy scanning.
• Each row shows a timestamp and relative time.
• Tap any row to open its edit form.
• Swipe left and confirm to permanently delete an entry.
• A blue “Syncing with iCloud…” banner may appear while data is being restored from iCloud after a fresh install. This is normal.
Filtering
• Tap Category to filter by: All, Food, Fluids, Meds, Waste, Sensations, or Other.
• Tap the filter icon to show or hide the keyword filter bar.
• If you enter multiple words, all keywords must match to show a result.
Entry Types
Food: Name, quantity, and time. You can attach a photo from the camera or photo library. Suggestions from past entries appear as you type.
Fluids: Fluid type, ounces, and time. You can add custom fluids from within the entry form.
Medicine: Medicine, dose (mg), quantity, time, and optional notes. Default dose and quantity come from Settings.
Waste (BM): Bristol type (1–7), urge, ease, volume, time, and optional notes.
Waste (Urine): Urge, stream, volume, color, blood/red level, time, and optional notes.
Sensations: Location, specific area, side, up to 3 quality tags, optional custom quality text, optional 0–10 intensity rating, time, and notes.
Other: Free-text notes or symptoms with a timestamp.
Editing Entries
• Tap any timeline row to edit it.
• Timestamps can be adjusted after saving for all entry types.
• Dose edits allow changes to time, dose, quantity, and notes. To change the medicine, create a new dose entry.
• Food photos can be added, replaced, or removed in Edit Food.
Settings
• Appearance: Force dark mode app-wide.
• Log Display: Expand entry text fully or truncate each row to one line.
• Medicines: Add medicines with a default dose and quantity. You can edit, hide from picker, or delete.
• Fluids: Enable or disable fluids in the picker. Add or remove custom fluids.
• Data: Export a date range of logs to a file or clipboard.
• Demo Mode: Preview the app with sample data. Real data is hidden and untouched. Demo data can be reset.
• All Settings sections are collapsible. Tap a section header to expand or collapse it.
Exporting and Analysis
Open Settings.
Expand Data.
Tap Export Logs.
Set a From and To date.
Copy to clipboard or save to file.
Export format:
• JSONL (JSON Lines)
• One structured record per line
• Includes timestamp, category, detail, notes, and optional medicineNotes fields
Tip:
You can paste exports into an AI chatbot and ask for symptom trends, trigger hypotheses, and timeline summaries.
Troubleshooting
• If your entries do not appear immediately on a new device, keep the app open briefly while iCloud sync finishes.
• If the timeline looks filtered, reset the Category filter to All and clear keyword filters.
• If you are using Demo Mode, your real data is hidden until Demo Mode is turned off.
Privacy
BodyLog data may sync with your personal iCloud account (if enabled on your device). Your data is intended for your own tracking and review across your devices.
