The clock strikes 9:00, the procession has just begun. Mourning marches echo and fill every home in Liston. Crowds start gathering in the streets to watch the musicians and the epitaph passing by any moment now. We went up to a family’s friend house to witness the event from above.
We step into the mansion, the windows wide open, letting the light in. Wooden furniture with hand carved details that captivate your gaze. Each decoration in the place it deserves, adding its sophisticated touch to the space. Like those painted rocks crafted by the homeowner's mother, each one meticulously done by hand. Some china in cabinets and some framed photographs make me imagine that others had the same customs and traditions here before us...
The time approaches 11:00, and everyone is getting ready to throw their pots.
