My current role as Vice Principal has provided me with the necessary experience to effectively manage the day-to-day running of a school and drive school development plans across all age ranges (Pre-K to 12). I am an experienced leader who works in close partnership with the Head of School to ensure consistently high standards of achievement and progress for all pupils. My background includes leading MSA Accreditation projects, Foundational Document development, and overseeing student safeguarding and learning support, demonstrating my capacity to establish and monitor policies that effectively support the school's core objectives and mission—specifically in fostering truly multilingual, international citizens.
I am passionate about providing staff relevant, interesting professional development that will benefit teachers' individual interests and needs to positively benefit student and school life. I created a program in partnership with Fulbright Scholars to bring conversational and professional English classes to our campus to improve articulation and ease of English use. I have created trainings on technology utilized at a campus level including ManageBac and Google Classroom as well as led the NWEA Map proctoring process and subsequent date evaluation.
As an ambassador for my current school, I actively develop ways to engage students and parents with the wider school community though increased campus activities, initiating more consistent parent-staff meetings, and increasing extracurricular activities within and outside of town. I have also supported student led initatives including an outdoor gardening space and a weekly coffee bar for staff.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide variety of students, from those with significant support needs to those that far exceeded grade-level expectations as well as across all age groups. I have taught and led a wide variety of different socioeconomic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds and ensured adherence to differentiated curriculum to best meet their needs.
