yesterday watching cameras trained on lebec traffic, saw smoking vehicle trailing smoke right down the street! Maybe we are lucky we didnt have a fire break out down here because how would the fire dept get to us with all that traffic for a long time totally blocked.

Nice and quiet, no helicopters or jets. They put the fire out last night enogh so freeway could open. Both are still smoldering I think.

Traffic still crawling. Just sawe a cam shot of Lebec and the 2 lane road was busy as hell. There have been a few medical emergencies up here in Frazier and LOW and Lebec. Low flying chopper just made a racket over me.
Cooked some Neoguri ramen and an egg. Boiled the water first. Got to boil some more for drinking water unless I got to store and buy some tomorrow maybe. or the gas station. Heard a siren a few min ago. Cams show way less smoke from Gorman but serious smoldering on a huge hillside. Hope to God the wind dont pick up. Dumbasses driving in the center divider blocking fire trucks. People are fucking stupid.

Freeway starting to reopen. 651pm southbound 5 crawling south. north is moving i think. Lebec road is got a lot of vehicles on it also crawling.

Lot of cars on this back road, people are trying to get off the freeway which is very slow going southbound.
North bound 5 was shut down an hr ago or so. What a mess this freeway has been. We are so lucky it could
be a lot worse, people could get trapped in the fire on freeway.
Very fortunately low winds today thank God. That would make it a whole lot worse.

Packed a go bag. Neighbor going to Gorman to help evac goats. Fire smoke looked really threatening from here so I called neighbor. Its in Gorman, freeway getting shut down. Freeway on Grapevine north was at standstill just like yesterday. What a cluster.
Had tankers and lot of crews helicopters today. Well, yesterday I bought a little hose and a sprinkler, what a joke when its right at your backdoor.
