John Rogers Elementary is a neighborhood school serving the vibrant and diverse Meadowbrook community. If you have an incoming Kindergartner or are moving to the area and are interested in getting to know more about our school - welcome!
To see if you live with in the John Rogers attendance area check the Seattle Public Schools address lookup tool. If you intend to send your student to John Rogers in the fall, please register as soon as possible!

Join Principal Dr. Dimsey and our parent volunteers for a tour of the new John Rogers Elementary School! If you have a child entering Kindergarten in 2026 or are exploring new school options for an older student, we invite you to attend.
You’ll have time to ask questions, tour the building, and meet other families.
The early application window for SPS Open Enrollment runs from January 5–31.
Use South entrance off NE 105th Street to check in at the front office. Parking is available in the south drop-off roundabout or along 105th Street.

Free Swim Lessons - during the school day each grade will receive free swim lessons at the Meadowbrook Community Pool for a 6 week session. Email johnrogerspta@gmail.com if you are interesting in volunteering to help walk students to and from the pool!

Care Closet - The Care Closet in the JRE Resource Center is a warm, welcoming space where students and their families can pick up everyday essentials—free of charge. Whether it's a warm coat, a new game or puzzle, or help with essential supplies, the Resource Center is here to support your family with care and respect.
We offer a variety of helpful items, including:
Clean, gently used clothing for kids and adults
Hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and more
School supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks
Seasonal items like winter coats, hats, and gloves
Games and puzzles for the whole family
Books for kids, including board books for babies/toddlers, picture books for young kids, and chapter books for older readers
We're here to help make sure every child feels ready and supported—every day.

ABOUT THE BUILDING
Opened in fall 2025, John Rogers Elementary proudly stands as Seattle Public Schools’ first net-zero-energy campus—an inspiring example of the district’s commitment to climate action and sustainability. The school was designed with students and staff at the heart of every decision, creating welcoming spaces that encourage conversation, connection, and a strong sense of belonging. Bright, open areas offer clear sightlines that support safety, and natural daylight fills every regularly used space, making the building feel warm, healthy, and inviting.
Our new campus includes 82,000 square feet of learning space for 500 PreK–5 students, surrounded by playful landscapes, gardens, and outdoor areas that spark curiosity and exploration. Designed to be both a neighborhood anchor and a true community gathering place, John Rogers strengthens its role as a hub for families, friendships, and lifelong learning.
