Format for Submitting Lesson Plans
Teachers, this year we will be using Google Docs to submit lesson plans. However, rather than submitting plans each week, we will only be creating one document that will be shared with your assigned administrator and with Principal Vega. This will eliminate the need for teachers to be constantly emailing lesson plans and facilitate administration being able to access them. The instructions on how to setup up the document are described below.
- Log into your Google account.
- On the Google homepage you will see 9 squares in the shape of a square in the upper right hand corner.
- Click on the squares and you will see numerous applications you can choose from.
- Navigate to the Google Drive icon (a green, blue and yellow triangular shape similar to a recycling symbol).
- Select the Google Drive by clicking on it.
- In the upper far left corner there is a button labeled “New” with a plus sign on it.
- Press and hold the New button until you see the blue “Google Docs” icon.
- Navigate over the Google Docs icon and select “Blank Document”.
- Create a template for your plans and date them, or write out your plans and date them.
- Each week you will either duplicate the template or format of your plan and update the information to reflect your current course of instruction.
- After you have created your first lesson plan you will select the blue “Share” button in the top right hand corner.
- From the Share menu you will type in the email addresses of your assigned administrator and Principal Vega. Administration email addresses are listed below:
- Principal Vega: avega1@lausd.net
- AP Felice Lowe: felice.lowe@lausd.net
- AP Marcos Solorzano: mss0819@lausd.net
- AP Julian De La O jad5040@lausd.net
- AP Dr. Eleanor Murray emurray@lausd.net
- Please use the following naming conventions when giving a title to the document you are sharing:
vega name of admin you are working with your name or groups name
For example:
vega.lowe.mitchell.plans
or
vega.vega.chun.plans
or
vega.murray.6th grade ELA.plans
When you first “Share” your document select the “View Only” option unless you and your assigned admin have chosen to allow comments or editing.
