My name is John Gemmill. My students know me as Mr.G. I am starting my 33rd year of teaching for the 2022-23 school year. This is my 26th year of teaching Kindergarten. I am starting my 7th year of teaching in Colcord. My first 25 years were spent, teaching in Dodge City, Kansas. My wife and I were living in a long distance marriage, so I left Dodge City to come to Oklahoma, where we currently live in Pryor. I spent one year in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, where the school closed my only year there. I am now blessed to be a Hornet in Colcord. I have been married to my beautiful bride for over 12 years, and she works for the city of Tulsa. During our spare time, we love watching family race dirt track modifieds, and following my lifetime sports teams during their seasons. I am a diehard Colorado Buffaloes, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals fan. My bride and I are blessed to be season ticket holders of the Chiefs. I grew up in a small town in Eastern Colorado, which explains why I am a Buffs fan. I attended college in Dodge City, Kansas on a baseball scholarship. My wife and I enjoy making yearly trips to California to visit our children and grandsons Jackson and Ryker. I am truly blessed to be in Colcord. Go Hornets.
