Eve Counts (born about 1752 - died unknown) - Eve married Matthew Maddox while in the Shenandoah Valley. They moved to Cocke County, TN in about 1789 with other neighbors from the Shenandoah Valley to help establish the Big Pigeon Baptist Church near present day Newport, TN. It is though Eve died there sometime in the early 1800's although no records exist.
Elizabeth "Lissy" Counts (born about 1760 - died about 1830) - Lissy married Henry Williard while living in the Shenandoah Valley. She and Henry relocated to Russell County, VA in 1787 then moved on to Breckenridge County, KY following the death of John Counts in 1803. The family then moved on west to Cape Girardeau County, Missouri where Lissy died sometime after 1830.
Mary "Molly" Counts (born about 1762 - died 1834) - Molly married Jacob Rasnake while in the Shenandoah Valley. Jacob was a Hessian soldier during the Revolutionary War. They moved to Russell County, VA in 1787. Mary and Jacob are the ancestors of the large Rasnick/Rasnake family in southwest Virginia. Phillip Counts (born about 1764 - died 4 Feb 1843) - Phillip is the only known child to stay in the Shenandoah Valley as he lived on a portion of the original John Counts farm on the Hawksbill. He married Anna Keyser, daughter of Carl Keyser, who was a neighbor to John Counts on the Hawksbill. Carl Keyser is the progenitor of the large Kiser family in and around Russell County, VA.
John Counts of Cleveland (born about 1765 - died 1 Oct 1843) - John Counts Jr. or "of Cleveland" migrated to the banks of the Clinch River at present day Cleveland, VA in 1787. He married Margaret Kelly before leaving the Shenandoah Valley. The Kelley's were neighbors in the Shenandoah Valley and likely attended church with the Counts family. Margaret's brother, Edward Kelley was one of the earliest Baptist preachers in Russell County, VA. John Counts of Cleveland is responsible for the large Counts family that is now spread all over southwest Virginia.
Catherine Counts (born about 1767 - died after 1803) - not much information is known about Catherine. She had a son in 1783 named William Counts prior to marriage. She first married Michael Peters in November 1786. She then married John Gray in 1792 in Rockingham County, VA and they had a son named Jonas who was named in the will of his uncle Phillip Counts. Catherine is named in the Will of John Counts but it appears she did not migrate to Russell County.
George Counts (born about 1770 - died about 1840) - George was the youngest son of John and received the Glade Hollow farm in the will of his father. George married Eve Haynes Selsor. George later lost the farm in Glade Hollow due to debt problems and relocated to the Hayter's Gap section of Washington County, Virginia where many of his descendants remain. George and Eve were living with John on the Glade Hollow farm when John passed. George's step daughter, Margaret "Duritee" Selsor Counts, witnessed the Will of John Counts in 1802.
Christina Counts (born March 1773 - died after 1830) - Christina Counts baptismal record can be found in Shenandoah, VA records naming John and Magdeline as her parents. Christina came to Rusell County with her parents in 1789. She married Elijah Lang in Russell County in about 1800. Christina and Elijah moved to Pulaski County, KY around 1804 and then to Morgan County, Indiana by 1820. It is thought she died sometime after 1830 in Morgan County.
