Johanna Arlinghaus

I am an environmental economist with a focus on fiscal and climate policy.  My research interests lie at the intersection of finance, environmental and public economics. In my research, I mainly use econometric methods for causal inference and large micro-level datasets to evaluate policies.

I am currently a postdoctoral research associate within the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at Oxford University. In fall 2024, I will join the Centre for Sustainability at the Hertie School as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Sustainability on tenure-track (press release). I defended my PhD in Economics at Technical University Berlin and the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change in 2023
