Johabed G. Olvera

I am an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at the Pennsylvania State University and an associate faculty member at the Population Research Institute. My research examines how government interventions and their implementation affect maternal and child health and families’ well-being in the U.S. and Latin America, particularly among minorities and low-income families.  My research has been funded by The National Science Foundation, the Pennsylvania State University Population Research Institute, and the Pennsylvania State University Center for Social Data Analytics. I hold a Ph.D. in public affairs from Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
