(1) Payment
I accept the following payment methods:
PayPal
Venmo
Cash (If in-person pick-up is available; not for fursuits)
(1.1) For Art: After I provide thumbnail sketches of ideas for the final product, I will ask you which idea best suits your vision! Once you select a thumbnail, alongside any additional suggestions, full payment is required before I begin the final artwork.
(1.2) For Fursuits: After I provide a detailed quote for the project, an initial 50% down payment is required to begin the project. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the project. For instance, if the quote I give for the project is $1,500, a $750 down payment is required to order supplies and begin the project. As I complete the project, I will provide periodic progress reports, and upon completion, the remaining $750 must be paid to ship it and to confer client ownership. Other payment plans can be negotiated. However, a 50% down payment is still required to cover materials and confirm that the client is commissioning me.
(1.3) Shipping Fee: Shipping costs are calculated separately based on your delivery address. You may also choose in-person pickup at NYFurs/NYC FurMeets events or furry conventions that I attend. Upcoming conventions I will be attending will be listed in the bios of my social media accounts.
(2) Service
For all kinds of projects, I will provide progress reports to ensure I can meet your expectations. Questions, feedback, and suggestions are always encouraged. Harassment or abusive behavior will result in non-refundable cancellation of the commission.
I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone of a suspicious nature (i.e., a default profile picture, suspicious behavior/communication, confirmed fraudulent activities).
(2.1) Before payment:
For Art: When requesting art, you will provide a prompt and any reference sheets. Unless it is a "small project" (e.g., trash badges, quick doodles), I will provide thumbnail sketches. These sketches will be a few ideas about how I can execute your idea in the best way possible through my art skills and style. You will be given the choice of which thumbnail idea I should turn into a painting. At this stage, I am also open to any changes and suggestions. To begin the actual painting, full payment must be made.
For Fursuits: After receiving a reference sheet and the type of fursuit you want (e.g., head, partial, mini-partial, bodysuit, fullsuit, etc.), I will provide a quote for the project. You can request multiple types of fursuits to compare prices. Factors that contribute to the pricing can include, but are not limited to, complexity, color variety, and additional features such as zip-on feet. Compromises to the character's design can be negotiated to reduce the price (e.g., by reducing complexity or color variety). To begin the actual project, an initial down payment (as detailed under the "Payment" section) and some measurements must be provided. Examples of measurements include, but are not limited to, head circumference for fursuit heads, arm measurements for arm sleeves, duct tape dummies for fullsuits/bodysuits, and shoe sizes for feet paws. Tutorials on how to perform these measurements will be provided.
(2.2) Delivery: A rough estimate for when the commission will be complete will be expressed to the client. However, note that this is a very rough estimate, and not an exact turnaround date. The actual delivery date may change due to health and workload constraints, client communication timeliness, and other unforeseen circumstances.
For Art: Physical artwork will be available for in-person pick-up (if available) or shipped after a shipping address is given. Additionally, a digital photograph of the work will be sent. In-person pick-up can be done at NYFurs/NYCFurMeets furry meetups and conventions I attend. Upcoming conventions I will be attending will be listed in the bios of my social media accounts.
For Fursuits: Once the project is complete, you will be notified and provided pictures of the finalized fursuit/fursuit parts. The final payment is required to initiate delivery. Once this payment is made, in-person pick-up or shipping will be available. Generally, in-person pick-up can be done at NYFurs/NYCFurMeets furry meetups and at (if possible) conventions.
For Both: Once a package has been shipped, I do not claim responsibility for delays or losses caused by the shipping carrier. Any complaints regarding shipping must be made with the carrier, and I can assist to the extent I can.
(2.3) Client Responsibilities:
To ensure I can complete your commission in the best way possible and in a timely manner, please maintain prompt, clear communication with me. For instance, response delays may lead to longer turnaround times.
Ensure that reference sheets are accurate. If they are not, make clarifications about the characters' design. If there are inconsistencies in the reference sheets, I will consult you. For art, due to my specific style, I may take artistic liberties that may deviate from given character designs.
(2.4) Changes: You will be periodically updated on the commission's progress. Minor revisions requested during the current stage of commission will be made. Requests to revise work that has already been approved in an earlier stage may incur an additional fee depending on the amount of work required.
(2.5) Mature Work:
Mature artwork or costumes with mature aspects will require proof of age via a government-issued form of identification (with ID numbers and other non-pertinent information covered; only the name and date of birth are required).
Mature works involving incest / pedophilic / feral / "cub" themes, as well as any other themes I am not comfortable with, will not be drawn.
Mature artwork will not be available at sizes larger than 11.7" x 16.5"
(3) Refunds
In general, if I have not started a project, a full refund can be made. However, once the project is initiated and significant progress has been made, no refund will be available. There will be partial refunds available for fursuits, but not for paintings, as detailed below.
(3.1) For Art: As mentioned above, thumbnail sketches will be provided before the project begins. You will have the opportunity to choose whether your idea can be executed by my artistic choices and style before payment. Once I begin the project after payment, I will not issue refunds.
(3.2) For Fursuits: If I am in the initial stages of the project (e.g., during the patterning phase of a fullsuit or the bucket-head stage of a fursuit head), a 50% refund can be issued. However, once significant progress has been made, no refund will be issued.
(4) Terms of Usage
Once a work is delivered, the client's ownership of the work is conferred, and the commission can be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Commercial usage of my work (i.e., prints, merchandising) must be explicitly agreed upon in writing before the start of the commission.
Do not attempt to cover or erase my signature on art pieces. The signature, of course, will be small and not be a main component of the piece.
I retain copyright of the works and the right to use these artworks to promote my portfolio (e.g., on this website or any of my social media accounts), unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
My work may not be used to train or develop artificial intelligence or machine learning programs, unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
