I am Joel Calabrese, a researcher, educator, and consultant. Je suis Acadien/Settler and currently reside in Mi’kma'ki, the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. I am a neurodivergent autodidact who grew up along the Wolastoq. I have two decades experience in the not-for-profit sector, primarily in project management, program development, and program delivery as a member of various societies. I have a concurrent three decades of experience in the field of archaeology and am a monitoring permit holder. I received a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Anthropology from the University of New Brunswick in 1997 and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from NAIITS: an Indigenous Learning Community in 2022.
