Joe Jackson's Homepage

Starting in fall 2023, I am a Dickson Instructor and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago. My postdoctoral mentor is Panagiotis E. Souganidis. I completed my PhD at the University of Texas at Austin in May 2023, under the direction of Gordan Žitković. My research interests are in stochastic analysis, partial differential equations, and their applications. Lately my focus has been on the convergence problem in mean field control and mean field games.

About me

I grew up in Norfolk, VA, and spent a lot of my time growing up playing baseball. I went to undergrad at Swarthmore College, which is a small school just outside of Philadelphia. I now live in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago with my wife Alanna. In my free time I enjoy sports (especially basketball, squash, pickleball), running, and trying new restaurants.
