I served 4 years active duty after I graduated from UNC. I had always dreamed of serving, so I trained hard and I enlisted.
I spent 1.5 years in San Diego working as a supply rep for the Navy Special Warfare Training Command.
After that, I was stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI where I served as a small boat captain, driving the USS Arizona Memorial tour boats and conducting private tours for VIPs such as the Second Lady of the US, Chris Pratt, and the Dallas Cowboys.
My greatest free time passion is off roading and camping in my 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I love the challenge of overcoming tough obstacles on the trail and pushing the limits of my truck.
In 2020, I cofounded Vegas Toyota Offroad, a Toyota enthusiast group that promotes and hosts fundraising and product drives for local nonprofits and dog rescues. To date, we've hosted over 100 trail runs and have grown to over 2,000 members.
Also in 2020, I founded and still operate a class in which I teach new 4x4 owners how to safely drive their trucks off road. The class is called Dirt 101 and can be found on Instagram at @Dirt101LasVegas.
I also work part time for the Bronco Off Roadeo as an instructor, teaching new Ford Bronco owners how to drive their trucks on dirt.
I am generally interested in everything outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, and backpacking.
In 2016, I hiked and camped through the Anza Borrego Desert east of San Diego.
In June 2021, I spent 5 days hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, accomplishing portions of the Sierra High Route and the Pacific Crest Trail.
My goal is to complete the entire Sierra High Route next year.
