It's time to..."SPIN! THAT! WHEEL!!!!"
Rulette is a challenge-based game inspired by the episode of the same name from Dropout's Game Changer, the only game show where the game changes every episode.
My specific version is a digital app accompanying in-person gameplay. It was built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript's d3 library.
Players take turns spinning a wheel and getting one of three cards:
Rules, which they must follow until the game ends.
Prompts, which give them 2 points if they perform them all by following the rules.
Modifiers, which allow them to change or remove one active rule.
You can play the whole game here or by clicking the wheel screenshot or button to your right.
Concerts. Films. Theatre. Magic. They all advertise their content with creative, eye-catching posters. These advertisements have arguably become pieces of art themselves! With my knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator, and my belief in playful creativity, I've done a lot of "professional" graphic design work as a part of professional projects.
For UW's Storytelling Fellows workshops, for instance, I created advertisements that were put up around campus in flyer form and posted on the website and social media.
Aside from advertisements, I also like to use my graphic design skills to make Photoshop collages. I post many of them on social media (especially Reddit and Instagram). Here are some of my favorites:
Created Summer 2022 for my Instagram & Tumblr, because of my love for Twin Peaks and my love for my friends.
I call this one "Self-Explanatory."

Take Some Direction is an improvisational print-and-play party game, currently in its beta testing phase. Cards are being made using the website Bigger Blacker Cards.
Inspired by Cards Against Humanity and an improv game from the game show Make Some Noise, each round's judge will draw a "Quote Card" (black), usually a famous line of dialogue or quote. The other players have a hand of "Prompt Cards" (white), dictating a modifier to the quote affecting their performance.
One by one, players must act out the line using a Prompt Card of their choice.
The judge chooses the one they like best, awarding the player with a point.
The game is still in its alpha mode.
