Background:
I graduated from high school with a major in Calligraphy in the Art Department and took each of the skills and knowledge related to calligraphy.
When I entered a university in Kyoto (Ritsumeikan University), I was fascinated by the historical charm of the tea ceremony. Fortunately, I met a wonderful tea ceremony teacher at that time.
The tea ceremony is a comprehensive art that encompasses flower arrangement, incense, kimono, WagashiJapanese sweets, and tableware, as well as calligraphy, and it is also a continuation of the spirit of Zen, which emphasizes the importance of the seasons. It is against this background that I have developed a deep interest in the Zen language.
