Troy currently serves as a Deputy Coroner for the Johnson County Coroner’s Office, and is employed full-time as the Director of the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency. Prior to relocating to Johnson County, MO; Troy served as a Medical Examiner Investigator for Decatur County, IA. Currently Troy holds registry certification as a registered diplomate via the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators. Also, Troy serves as a member of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Missouri-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team/ Disaster Mortuary Response Team and the Kansas City Mortuary Operational Response Group (KCRMORG).

Mason Wirsig

Investigator

Mason joined the Johnson County Coroner’s Office in 2015 under CL Holdren. Mason graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2015 and from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2018. He has worked at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren & Moore Funeral Homes since 2010. Mason is an active member of the Warrensburg Lions Club where he has been the membership chair since 2016. In 2017, he joined the Warrensburg Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team. He was appointed to the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau board in 2018. Mason is a life-long Johnson County resident. He lives in Warrensburg with his son, Aaron, and his dog, Duke.

Anna Dureka

Investigator

Anna Dureka was a 2013 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Kansas City Kansas Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science. She became a licensed funeral director in 2013 and a licensed embalmer in 2014. She is currently employed with Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Anna is also a certified crematory operator and a volunteer with Crossroads Hospice.
