ACESS TO VIANA DO CASTELO
By Car
If you are coming from the south (Porto), look for the A28/IC1 [Porto - Viana do Castelo - Vila Nova de Cerveira]. Alternatively, you can take the A3 Minho motorway [Porto - Valença], which connects to Braga, and access Viana do Castelo through the Ponte de Lima exit, following the A27.
If coming from the north (Spain), via the Tuy/Valença border, take the N13 road. In Vila Nova de Cerveira, you can choose the A28 - Auto-estrada do Litoral Norte, or continue along the N13 to Viana do Castelo.
By Train
From Campanhã station, you can take the train to "Valença" or the international train to "Vigo" [Porto - Viana do Castelo - Vigo]. You can consult the trains to Viana do Castelo at CP.
By Bus
By Airplane
About 60 km away, Porto airport - Sá Carneiro Airport - is the closest to Viana do Castelo. From this point, and in addition to the taxi service, there are two other options:

ALREADY IN VIANA
ESTG can be easily accessed on foot. It is about a 20-minute walk from the center of Viana do Castelo.
Alternatively, you can opt for Viana urban Transport, the Bus Académico (free transport provided by the IPVC) or a taxi.

On the 20th and 21st of April, JOCLAD participants have 2 buses from the IPVC – AVIC - Bus Académico, which will make the route from two points in the city to ESTG in the morning, and in the opposite direction in the late afternoon:
– Central stop - Bus Terminal, at Viana do Castelo Station; this stop will essentially serve participants staying in hotels in the city center;
– ESE stop – Located at the back of the Escola Superior de Educação (ESE), on Rua da Fonte, next to the roundabout; this stop will essentially serve participants staying at the Hotel Axis Viana Business & SPA
