Raymond Quinn

Raymond Quinn was born at Workington, Cumberland, on March 30, 1944, and spent his childhood schooling for Cumberland trainers before leaving school and becoming an apprentice to Tom Corrie.

Ray rode his first winner, Wells Fargo at Worcester, on his 19th birthday and, on his 30th birthday in 1974, had his only ride in the Grand National (Wolverhampton, pulled up).

Ray won the 1969 George Duller Hurdle on Boonah.
