Born and raised in Macau, he studied architecture in Lisbon and later completed a master's in landscape architecture at Auburn University, USA. Drawing has been a steady thread throughout — studied drawing formally under Mio Pang Fei at the Macau Polytechnic Institute and later at Lisbon’s Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes. Since 2020, his illustration practice has revolved mostly around book covers and children's books like Em Busca do Menino Contente and Lou e o Papagaio de Papel. The illustration set "Transformation" was selected for inclusion in the 16 Iberoamérica Ilustra catalogue and exhibition.
