Egg tempera painter exploring beauty in portraiture and the natural world.

Trained conservator.   Living between Poland and Australia.

I am drawn to what endures — in paint, in faces, in the quiet details of the natural world. Portraiture, for me, is not just likeness. It is the search for something beneath the surface — a mood, a moment, a truth that a photograph cannot hold. And in nature I find the same quiet complexity: light shifting on water, the texture of bark, the stillness of a single flower.

Egg tempera demands patience — each layer dries instantly, leaving no room for corrections. Every mark is a decision. Built slowly, layer by layer, the paint gains depth while the surface remains entirely matte. No gloss. No illusion of ease.

My background is in art conservation and restoration. I hold a master’s degree from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, and a graduate diploma in Applied Heritage Studies from Curtin University of Technology. For years I worked on the conservation of art and historical sites spanning the XIV to XIX centuries — learning to read surfaces, to understand time, to restore what had been lost.

That training never left me. It shapes how I look, how I paint, and what I choose to see.

As of 2022, I have been living in Perth, Western Australia.
