Professor Kim Tae-hoon of Chonnam National University was invited as a speaker on the topic of 'Biogeochemical Reactions due to Submarine Groundwater Discharge in the Coastal Environment of Jeju Island'. Through this seminar, the two institutions discussed the establishment of groundwater circulation systems based on current geological surveys, and explored improvement measures for efficient groundwater utilization and management. They also shared research contents such as the impact of nutrient loading on the coastal environment of Jeju due to groundwater decline and submarine groundwater discharge, as well as strategies for groundwater quality management, and sought opportunities for collaborative research.
