Continuing Your Professional Learning
Fly Closer Academy
The Fly Closer Academy is a year long professional development experience for JNP teachers only. Teachers in the Academy will participate in educational technology training for four days during the year, get extensive support from the Instructional Technology Coordinator and the cohort, as well as participate in many exclusive professional development opportunities. The Academy is application only and accepts one to two teachers from each school site; applications open in August.
Google Teacher Certifications
These teacher certifications allow educators to display how much they know about the Google tools and how they can be innovatively used in the classroom. They also connect the educator to worldwide communities of other Google Certified Educators. #GoogleCE
Common Sense Educator Certification
This teacher certification allows educators to display how much they know about digital citizenship education for K-12 students. The certification process will help teachers learn how to use new tech tools and connect them to digital citizenship concepts.
Apple Teacher Certification
This certification will allow the educator to show what they know about employing Apple EDU tools in the classroom.
Microsoft Innovative Educator Certification
The MIE Certification gives the educator so many new Microsoft for EDU skills and ideas! Educators work through the training modules, choosing what they want to learn about, and acquire the Certification by earning 10,000 points on end of module quizzes.
