Welcome to my website!
My name is Jennifer. I grew up in Chicago and as I was cleaning out my childhood bedroom some years ago, I came across a letter that I wrote in 2nd grade stating that I wanted to become a teacher. Well, that came true! I received my B.A. from Marquette University in 2009 with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a teaching license and started on an adventure out to Colorado Springs where Lewis-Palmer High School took a chance on me. I spent two years there teaching Spanish 1-4. I decided to move back to the Chicago area in order to be close to some aging family. I worked at Alan B. Shepard Middle School for 6 years teaching Spanish in grades 6-8. During this time I earned my Master's in Education from National Louis University. My husband, son Nathan, and I moved back to Colorado in early 2017 realizing that our Colorado dream wasn't yet over. We are so happy and lucky to be back. We had our daughter, Annalise, in August 2018 and are proud to say that she's a native Coloradoan! Since moving back to Colorado I have kept my Colorado K-12 license active, tutored Spanish, and did a little subbing in DCSD.
