Jhavia Nicole Benjamin is a certified counselor, wellness consultant, and educator with nearly a decade of experience in the human services field. Her educational background includes a Master's in Human Services Counseling, as well as alcohol and drug counselor certification (CADC-III) through California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). Professionally, she provides counseling, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, wellness education, and resource coordination to diverse clients, particularly those who are chronically ill, disabled, have co-occurring disorders, are homeless or housing insecure, LGBTQIA, impacted by substance use disorder, undocumented, and other marginalized and underserved populations.
Jhavia works with clients (individuals, partners, organizations, and businesses) to outline and achieve their goals by developing personalized wellness plans. She centers the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, mental health, disability, size, and a host of other marginalized identities in her work, and operates from a trauma informed, culturally responsive perspective.
