This Privacy Policy explains what information the Video Downloader app ("App") does and does not collect, how that information is used, and the choices available to you. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not require you to create an account.
We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
Videos you download are stored only on your device.
Optional premium features (such as transcription, summarization, and translation) send only the content you choose to process to servers operated by JMD Labs in order to provide the requested feature.
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and improve stability.
The App displays advertisements, and advertising providers may use your device's Advertising ID to serve and measure ads.
We do not require user accounts and do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
We collect limited anonymous analytics and diagnostic information through Google Firebase services. Additionally, if you use optional premium features, the content necessary to provide those features is temporarily processed on JMD Labs servers.
The following information remains on your device and is never transmitted to JMD Labs:
Downloaded files and related metadata (such as title, thumbnail, and format), stored in your selected download folder or app storage.
Download history, including URLs and titles of downloaded media, so you can access previous downloads. This history can be cleared at any time within the App.
App preferences, including theme, preferred download quality, and download location, stored locally using Android's secure on-device storage.
Premium Features
If you choose to use optional premium features, including:
Transcription
Summarization
Translation
the relevant content (such as media audio, extracted text, or media URL) is securely transmitted to servers operated by JMD Labs solely to generate the requested result.
This content is:
Used only to provide the requested feature.
Not sold or shared for advertising purposes.
Retained only for the time necessary to process your request.
Deleted after processing, unless a longer retention period is required for technical or legal reasons.
If you do not use these premium features, no such content leaves your device.
Information Sent Over the Network
Depending on how you use the App, the following network communications may occur:
When you provide a media link, the App communicates directly with that website to retrieve media and metadata. Your interaction with that website is governed by its own Privacy Policy.
Only when you use premium features does the App securely transmit the content required to generate transcription, summarization, or translation results.
The App periodically downloads updates for its bundled yt-dlp extraction engine to maintain compatibility with supported websites.
Anonymous analytics events and crash reports are transmitted to Google Firebase.
Information necessary to serve and measure advertisements, including your Advertising ID where permitted, may be shared with advertising partners.

We do not collect precise GPS location.

Video Downloader is a general-purpose tool intended for downloading media that you are legally authorized to access.
You are solely responsible for:

Ensuring you have permission to download or use any content.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.
Data Retention and Deletion
You may delete locally stored data at any time by:
Clearing download history
Deleting downloaded files
Clearing the App's data
Uninstalling the App
Content submitted for premium processing is retained only as long as necessary to complete your request and is then deleted.
Analytics and crash reports are retained according to Google Firebase's standard data retention policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any material changes will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
