In our younger years, we've always associated the town of Liliw in Laguna with its cold springs called batis in the Tagalog dialect. It's the town in the region that you visit if you want a cool dip in a mountain spring during the hot summer months. In recent years however, Liliw's claim to fame has shifted. While the cool mountain springs are still there, Liliw is now widely regarded as the "tsinelas capital" of the country for its footwear-making industry. And the town has many more to offer to the unsuspecting traveler as we would discover in our visits to this place.

      For a couple who are both interested in exploring the world of business weddings, creating stylish footwear is about more than making a fashion statement: it’s about having a broad, open mindset and imagining what it’s like to walk in someone else’s shoes. 

  Mary Cris, a dedicated public school teacher, and entrepreneur, originally hails from Laguna, as does her husband Jeremy, who is also a successful businessman on his own and a Certified Public Accountant. Before this power couple decided to start their business in bridal shoes, they had received numerous requests from their clients at JMC GOWNS AND BARONG EMBROIDERY to expand their wedding business into having customized wedding shoes.
