About Us:
The John Marshall Bar Association was established in 1909 and is the oldest student organization at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. For decades, JMBA has been dedicated to serving the students of the Levin College of Law.
The three primary focuses of JMBA are student service, community service, and social engagement:
JMBA tables Monday through Thursday and offers professional clinics to guide students through the job recruitment process and 1L year. To help give back, JMBA organizes campus-wide community service events. JMBA also hosts various social events throughout the year, including Mocha Monday, Thirsty Thursday, the Halloween Party, and Barristers’ Ball.
While JMBA invites and encourages involvement of all students at the University of Florida, an exclusive membership can be attained by any student for an affordable, one-time membership fee. Membership grants students entry to routine events for free and major events at a discounted rate. Membership also provides access to upperclassmen outlines and grants students voting rights within JMBA. Whether you decide to take an active role in JMBA or decide to enjoy the services and events without becoming a member, JMBA wants to make your law school experience extraordinary.
