We have dancers grades 8-12 and represent dancers from a handful of schools and dance studios!
The team performs at the school and competitively! Dancers perform routines at pep rallies, halftime of football games, and halftime of basketball games! Our team competes locally in areas such as Spartanburg and Columbia! Every year the team travels to Orlando, FL to compete at a National competition!
We compete and perform Pom, Jazz and Hip Hop style dances! The dancers also perform hip hop routines at school performances.
The "MANNcers" dance year round! We begin conditioning and choreography in the summer and have performances in the fall. We begin our competition in January and finish in March. We then hold try outs and continue conditioning and training!
Yes! Being a dancer requires discipline and practice, as it does with any sport! Our dancers practice with our team twice a week and attend classes outside of practice to further their skills! Many dance competitively with their studios as well! We have dancers representing a number of studios in the Greenville area!
Try outs are held in the spring! We hold interest meetings, open practices, and try outs in March following our return from our Nationals competition!
Yes! Dance is an expensive sport - school or studio! Our dancers fully fund their expenses through out of pocket payment and fundraising! We hold a number of fundraisers each year so that the dancers and parents can help lower the out of pocket cost for dancers to participate!
